Mighty Corson 10-Minute Play Festival!
The Mighty Corson Art Players are excited to announce our first-ever 10-minute play festival! We are seeking new, unproduced 10-minute plays, written to our theme, for performances in May 2027.
Our 2027 festival theme is: In the Library!
Our timeline is as follows:
Submissions open August 1st, 2026
Submissions close December 1st, 2026
Semi-finalists will be selected in February 2027
Final play selections will be made in March 2027
Performances will occur May 21-23, 2027
Submission guidelines:
Plays must be new, unproduced, and written to the festival theme to be considered.
Plays must not contain any information identifying the playwright (name, email, etc.). This is a blind review process.
Plays must be submitted in the prescribed format (see below) and must be no longer than 10 pages.
Plays must be ready to be performed as written.
Plays must contain at least two (2) and no more than five (5) characters. Characters must be able to be portrayed by actors ages 18-60.
Plays must consist primarily of dialogue, not monologues.
MCAP is a black-box, proscenium-style theater. Plays must be suitable for production in this space.
By submitting a play, playwrights give MCAP the rights to produce the play as they see fit. Playwrights will not be involved in the production process.
Plays that are accepted and produced will be videotaped for archival purposes.
No compensation or additional contracts will be provided for winning plays.
Only one entry will be accepted from each playwright.
